YFCA Implements CFW Activities as Part of BRIGHTLY Project
Thursday, 01 May, 2025

The BRIGHTLY project, officially known as "Building Resilience through Integrated Community-Based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen," aims to enhance the livelihoods and resilience of local communities. Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the project focuses on transformative initiatives that promote sustainable development in some of Yemen's most vulnerable regions.
Significant strides have been made across the BRIGHTLY project, particularly in Sa'adah and Al-Dhale'e Governorates. In Sa'adah, the completion of critical road paving projects at Jabal Al-Ar and Al-Hamas has enhanced access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and markets, positively impacting approximately 175 beneficiaries by improving mobility and boosting local economic activities. Meanwhile, in Al-Dhale'e, the paving of Al-Hamairah Road has significantly improved access to facilities, while the construction of agricultural terraces in the Al-Hamairah area enhances agricultural production and food security for local farmers. Additionally, in the Hadalah District, the successful paving of another road and the construction of a water barrier contribute to environmental sustainability and agricultural resilience, providing job opportunities and empowering local communities to thrive despite ongoing challenges.
The achievements of the BRIGHTLY project in both Sa'adah and Al-Dhale'e Governorates represent a significant commitment by the Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) towards fostering sustainable development in Yemen. By improving infrastructure and enhancing agricultural production, these projects not only address immediate community needs but also lay the groundwork for long-term resilience. The dedication to uplifting local communities reinforces the hope and potential for a brighter future in Yemen.
