YFCA Enhances Sanitation and Health Services in Marib
Wednesday, 04 June, 2025

YFCA made significant strides in improving sanitation and health for vulnerable communities in Marib City and Khab Wa Ash Sha'f districts through its project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). This initiative, which began on March 2025, focused on emptying and desludging full and overflowing cesspits and septic tanks in overcrowded IDP camps.
Since the project’s inception, YFCA successfully removed an impressive 3,002.5 cubic meters of waste, directly addressing the urgent sanitation needs of thousands. Coordinating closely with the Executive Unit of IDPs in Marib Governorate, the organization ensured that its efforts aligned with the specific needs of the communities.
The impact on local sanitation networks has been substantial, significantly improving hygiene conditions in areas such as Al Sahn yard, Howsh Al Zira’ah, Al Muthaf, Masn’a Adhban, and Al Faw. As families experienced enhanced living conditions, the project fostered a renewed sense of hope among beneficiaries.
As the project continued to progress, YFCA remained committed to providing essential life-saving and life-sustaining support to the most vulnerable communities in Marib. This initiative stands as a vital reminder of the impact humanitarian aid can have on transforming lives in challenging conditions.
