YFCA Empowers Community Health Volunteers to Boost Vaccination Coverage
Monday, 23 June, 2025

YFCA conducted a training course from June 23 to July 2, 2025, in Tarim and Qatn, aimed at enhancing the skills of 77 community health volunteers (CHVs) and 30 community influencers. This initiative is part of the "Leaving No Child Behind" project, focused on improving vaccination coverage for under-immunized children.
The training aimed to enhance effective communication strategies and equip participants to influence community health behaviors, addressing vaccine resistance and misinformation. Various educational methods, including presentations, workshops, and group discussions, engaged participants and fostered collaboration.
One participant noted, “The skills we learned will help us communicate more effectively about vaccinations, tackling misconceptions that prevent families from immunizing their children.”
This training is crucial for improving public health and community awareness. By empowering CHVs and influencers, YFCA aims to motivate families to prioritize vaccinations, ensuring that no child is left behind. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their skills, confident that their efforts will lead to a healthier community.
