In Al Ma’afer District of Taiz, YFCA launched a supplementary feeding distribution from 2 to 6 August as part of the “Promotion of Preventive and Lifesaving Nutrition Intervention” under the Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program, supporting children and mothers with age‑appropriate nutrition commodities. This round targets more than 8,000 children aged 6 to 23 months and over 4,000 pregnant and lactating women, aligning with preventive nutrition goals to reduce malnutrition risks and protect maternal and child health. Implemented in coordination with local health actors across the Taiz operational area (Al Silw, Sama, Al Shammayateen, Maqbana, and Al Ma’afer), the activity strengthens early nutrition practices and service uptake through community outreach and structured distribution. ​
