Yemen Family Care Association, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund, provided 1,000-liter triple-layer plastic water tanks to 185 internally displaced households in Al-Sadyhat Camp, located in the Khab Wa Ash Sha’f District of Al-Jawf Governorate. This initiative aims to enhance water storage capacity and improve access to safe drinking water for those in need.
The high-quality plastic water tanks feature a triple-layer design for increased durability and protection of water quality. Each tank is equipped with a faucet to facilitate easy access to water, ensuring that families can store and use clean water safely in their households. In addition to the water tank distribution, YFCA will provide water trucking services for all camp residents over a span of three months. This service is designed to ensure equitable access to safe drinking water throughout the community, addressing the immediate needs of the residents.
This initiative ensures access to safe drinking and domestic water while promoting public health and hygiene. By facilitating the safe storage and distribution of clean water, YFCA seeks to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases and support the overall health of the community. As the situation remains critical, continued efforts and support are essential to meet the basic needs of those affected by the ongoing crisis, making this intervention a vital step toward strengthening water security and improving the overall well-being of vulnerable communities in Yemen.
