The Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA), funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) made remarkable strides in addressing sanitation challenges through the emptying and desludging of full and overflowing cesspits and septic tanks in several camps across Marib City district.
Since the initiative commenced on March 10, 2025, over 4,800 cubic meters of waste have been successfully removed, significantly alleviating the pressing sanitation needs of the overcrowded camps, including Howsh Al Zira’ah, Al Muthaf, Masn’a Adhban, and Al Faw.
This intervention has drastically improved living conditions for displaced families and host communities alike. By mitigating health risks linked to poor sanitation, the project has instilled a renewed sense of hope among beneficiaries. Many residents have voiced their gratitude for the tangible improvements in their daily lives, emphasizing the positive impact of this essential service.
