YFCA Distributes Second Round of Cash Assistance to Vulnerable Households in Marib
Thursday, 28 August, 2025

YFCA distributed the second round of unconditional cash assistance to 502 targeted households in the Marib city district, providing vital support amid escalating food insecurity in Yemen. This initiative comes as a response to the ongoing crisis, characterized by constrained food production, high prices, and diminished household income, which significantly affects vulnerable populations, particularly in IDP camps.

In collaboration with the Executive Unit and Community Committees, YFCA focused on delivering assistance to households residing in camps such as Sheikh Zayed Camp, Al Maslaha Camp, Al Tadamon Camp, Al Minyin Al Qibli Camp, and Al Qardaei Camp. Each beneficiary household received 143,600 Yemeni rials, aimed at improving their capacity to meet basic food needs.

The cash assistance forms part of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) activity, integral to the broader project of providing essential life-saving and life-sustaining multisectoral support to the most vulnerable communities in Marib City and Khab Wa Ash Sha'f districts. Funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), this initiative seeks to enhance food security and facilitate better access to essential food resources for the affected families. By integrating cash assistance with livelihood activities, YFCA aims to promote resilience and early response to the ongoing humanitarian challenges faced by these communities.
