Friday, 24 October, 2025

YFCA launched a vital training course to bolster food security in Yemen. Conducted from October 18 to 23, 2025, this initiative targeted key members of agricultural producer associations in the Yab'uth district of Hadramout Governorate as part of the Accelerating Food Security in Yemen (AFSY) project, in partnership with Mercy Corps Yemen.
The training focused on enhancing participants' capabilities in critical areas such as agricultural business management, value chain analysis, marketing strategies, and organizational management. By equipping these members with essential skills, YFCA aims to improve the institutional performance of agricultural associations, ultimately contributing to increased agricultural productivity and sustainable rural development.
Participants were empowered to adopt effective cooperative practices that can lead to improved agricultural yields and create economic opportunities within local communities. The focus on practical skills and collaboration is expected to foster a more resilient agricultural sector, supporting the broader goal of achieving food security in Yemen.
