YFCA conducted a pivotal training course for community committees in the Yabath District of Hadramaut Governorate. This initiative, part of the "Accelerating Food Security in Yemen" (AFSY) project, in partnership with Mercy Corps is aimed at empowering small farmers and fostering collaboration within the community.
The training focused on enhancing the role of committee members in supporting smallholder farmers, including women, men, and youth. Participants received vital training on registering and , beneficiaries fairly and transparently. The program also encouraged the exchange of experiences and best practices among attendees through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises.
In partnership with Mercy Corps, this training marks a significant step toward building a sustainable support system for small farmers in the region, ultimately contributing to improved food security.
The project highlighting a strong commitment to enhancing livelihoods and food security in Yemen. As these community committees continue to develop their skills, they are expected to play a crucial role in implementing and supporting local agricultural interventions.
