YFCA, through the framework of the BRIGHTLY project funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), conducted a series of capacity-building trainings in Ad Dali and Shabwah governorates throughout August 2025.
The trainings, held across both Ad Dali and Shabwah, aimed to empower YFCA staff and community committees with vital skills and knowledge. Staff members engaged in learning about protection mainstreaming principles, including risk analysis and referral pathways, while community committee members focused on gender concepts, gender-based violence (GBV), and child protection. In Shabwah, trainings emphasized practical skills in gender equality and effective referral mechanisms, ensuring that local actors were well-equipped to respond effectively to community needs.
Overall, these initiatives significantly enhanced the capabilities of both YFCA staff and community members, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and dignity. By promoting gender equality and protecting vulnerable populations, the trainings not only strengthened local capacities but also contributed to more resilient, inclusive, and effective humanitarian responses throughout Yemen.
