YFCA Enhances Primary Healthcare Services in Al-Dhalea Gov
Sunday, 17 August, 2025

YFCA made a significant impact on healthcare in Yemen by delivering a substantial shipment of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals aimed at supporting health facilities in Al-Dhalea Governorate. This activity is particularly focused on benefiting the most vulnerable segments of the population, including internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The aid, which is part of ongoing efforts to enhance primary healthcare services, was directed to two local health facilities: Al-Salif Health Center in Jehaf District and Ayoub Health Center in Al-Dhalea District. This intervention is vital, as it aims to increase the operational capacity of these centers, ensuring free and life-saving healthcare for over 1,000 beneficiaries.
The shipment included critical healthcare items, such as treatments for chronic and infectious diseases, analgesics, nutritional supplements, antibiotics, and intravenous fluids. These supplies are especially crucial amid ongoing outbreaks of acute watery diarrhea (AWD), providing essential treatment for affected individuals.
Funded by Dorcas, this timely delivery underscores YFCA's dedication to sustainable development and its mission to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable populations in Yemen. By reinforcing local health systems, the activity contributes significantly to building more resilient and healthier communities.
