YFCA officially handed over Abdu Mohammed Rajeh Basic and Secondary School in the Al-Mudhaffar District in Taiz Governorate. This significant milestone was made possible through funding from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and falls under the program titled “Provision of Durable Solutions through Comprehensive Shelter and Education Interventions.”
During the handover ceremony, local authorities expressed their heartfelt appreciation for YFCA’s continuous support for the education sector. They emphasized the direct and positive impact that such projects have on students' futures. The rehabilitation of the school represents a crucial improvement in the learning environment, creating safer and more encouraging spaces for children to pursue their education.
The rehabilitation works encompassed a wide range of improvements, including the restoration of the school’s infrastructure, modernization of classrooms, and upgrades to essential facilities. These enhancements will enable the school to accommodate more students and provide a better educational experience for both boys and girls.
The event was attended by representatives from the Education Office, local authorities, YFCA’s project engineers and monitoring team, the school principal, and community members. The General Director delivered a speech expressing gratitude to YFCA for its unwavering support to the education sector, highlighting that projects like these are instrumental in enhancing the learning environment and ensuring the safety and motivation of students.
