Thursday, 16 October, 2025

YFCA has completed the second consultative workshop under Humanitarian System Transformation through Local Humanitarian Leadership project, as part of the project’s objective to build a more risk-aware and safer humanitarian system. The two-day workshop focused on reviewing and discussing the solutions proposed during the previous workshop, with the aim of developing a practical action plan to address challenges related to risk-sharing among humanitarian actors.
The workshop was attended by various stakeholders in the humanitarian sector, including local organizations and women-led organizations from Marib, Al-Dhale, Taiz, and Aden. Representatives from the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor also took part, in addition to international organizations and donors.
The discussions and interactive working sessions resulted in the completion of the proposed action plan, which was formally approved by the participants. This approval marks a step forward toward publishing the Risk-Sharing Assessment Report in Yemen and initiating preparations for implementing the second year of the project, scheduled for 2026.
The workshop was held from 15 to 16 October 2025 in Aden Governorate. This step comes as part of YFCA’s efforts to strengthen coordination and partnership among humanitarian actors and to support the transition toward more effective and sustainable local humanitarian leadership.
