YFCA launched a major livelihood support initiative aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of vulnerable households in Al-Shuaib District, Aldhala'a Governorate. Supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), this project focuses on strengthening agricultural livelihoods through beekeeping and directly supports 136 households in the district.
 
As part of the distribution activity, YFCA provided beneficiaries with cash grants to enable the purchase of beekeeping kits containing all essential equipment required to initiate beekeeping activities. This support addresses immediate financial needs while laying a strong foundation for sustainable income generation, ultimately contributing to improved living conditions for participating families.
 
In addition to material support, beneficiaries received specialized technical training designed to equip them with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in beekeeping as a viable agricultural enterprise. Furthermore, YFCA delivered three rounds of cash assistance to help households meet urgent basic needs, thereby enhancing their financial stability during the start-up phase.
 
“This initiative goes beyond distributing kits; it is about empowering communities,” said a YFCA representative. “By investing in people’s capacities, we help them restore their livelihoods and strengthen their resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.”
 
The completion of this distribution marks a key milestone in the third year of livelihood support activities under the BRIGHTLY Project. Through this integrated approach, YFCA continues to promote sustainable development and resilience among vulnerable populations in Yemen, enabling families not only to meet their immediate needs but also to plan for a more secure and dignified future.
