YFCA launched the first round of the Unconditional Cash Transfer activity in Ad Dali’ District, aiming to enhance food security and livelihoods for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the most vulnerable households. This initiative is part of a larger project focused on delivering lifesaving assistance across six critical sectors.
In this round, 246 households comprised of IDPs and host community members were targeted. Beneficiaries were identified through community committees trained in collaboration with local authorities to safeguard the integrity of the selection process. To prevent duplication, beneficiary data was verified and shared with the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC).
Each selected household received an amount of 143,900 Yemeni Riyals via accredited Financial Service Providers distributed across two designated points in the district. Beneficiaries were informed in advance about distribution schedules and locations through multiple channels, including phone calls, SMS notifications, and updates from community committees.
To ensure smooth and safe distribution, YFCA teams supervised the process, prioritizing vulnerable groups such as women and the elderly. Coordination was established with banking partners to promptly address any data issues, ensuring that all beneficiaries had access to essential funds.
This initiative underscores YFCA's commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by vulnerable families, enabling them to meet urgent basic needs and improve their overall well-being.
