YFCA delivered integrated protection services to internally displaced persons and vulnerable members of host communities in Al-Azariq District, Ad Dali’ Governorate, throughout August 2026, under the “Provision of Life-Saving Assistance in Protection Sector for Displaced and Vulnerable Populations” project, with support from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
Through mobile protection teams operating in Ghail Bin Awwas, Bilad Al-Ahmadi, and Hura Ghaniyah, YFCA provided a range of life-saving services aimed at addressing protection risks and strengthening access to essential support. During the month, the team identified and registered 186 individuals requiring tailored case management and conducted comprehensive vulnerability assessments.
As part of its community-based protection approach, YFCA reached 210 community members through awareness sessions addressing key protection risks, including child labour and early marriage. The response also provided psychosocial support sessions to 36 adults, helping them cope with distress and strengthen their psychosocial well-being.
To further support vulnerable households, YFCA provided Cash for Protection assistance to 100 beneficiaries, including 54 men and 46 women. Community-Based Protection Networks (CBPNs) also supported 210 individuals in accessing essential services through referral pathways, while 89 individuals received legal counselling and support related to civil documentation, with women and girls comprising the majority of those assisted.
Through this integrated, community-centered protection response, YFCA continues to promote safety, dignity, access to essential services, and resilience among conflict-affected and vulnerable communities in Ad Dali’ Governorate.
