YFCA established a Temporary Learning Space (TLS) in Al-Rakan IDP Camp, Marib Al-Wadi District, providing critical educational support for children displaced by conflict.
This initiative, implemented under the "Enhancing the Living Conditions and Disaster Resilience of Displaced Households in Marib District" project funded by Muslim Aid UK, addresses the severe lack of formal schooling opportunities in the area. Previously, children relied on ad-hoc lessons from volunteer teachers, but the newly opened TLS now offers a safe, structured environment for uninterrupted learning.
Marib Education Office played a key role in facilitating the project, including its official inauguration, and will oversee daily operations. The collaboration ensures sustainable education access for vulnerable children, helping mitigate the long-term impacts of displacement.
As conflict and economic hardship continue to strain Marib's resources, YFCA remains committed to supporting displaced communities through education, protection, and resilience-building programs.
