Sunday, 25 May, 2025

YFCA held a five-day training workshop on Education in Emergencies (EiE) in Al-Mudhaffar district, Taiz, aimed at empowering 50 teachers from 30 schools. This initiative is part of the "Provision of Durable Solutions through Comprehensive Shelter and Education Interventions," funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
The workshop focused on equipping teachers with strategies to deliver remedial lessons for students impacted by conflict and displacement. Participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to help students catch up on their education despite ongoing challenges. YFCA’s efforts highlight a commitment to educational resilience in a crisis context.
The training aims to reduce learning loss and promote recovery in educational settings, ensuring that students receive the necessary support to reintegrate into learning environments. This proactive approach addresses immediate educational needs and lays the groundwork for future academic success.

YFCA's initiative not only trains teachers but also strengthens the education sector in crisis-affected areas. By equipping educators with essential skills, YFCA addresses current educational challenges and contributes to the stability of communities in Taiz. This workshop serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that commitment to education can lead to a brighter future for Yemen's next generation.
