YFCA launched the distribution of cash grants aimed at initiating livelihood projects in Al Dhale'a City District, Al Dhale'a Governorate. This initiative, part of the Sustainable Livelihoods Building Project, is implemented by the Family Association and funded by the Relief Society (CRS), targeting some of the most vulnerable groups in the community.
Each beneficiary will receive a cash grant of US$500 to enable the establishment or development of income-generating projects across various sectors, including sewing, electrical installations and solar energy, grocery businesses, motorcycle maintenance, livestock, and beekeeping.
Prior to the cash grant distribution, beneficiaries participated in specialized entrepreneurship training designed to provide essential knowledge about small business management, feasibility studies, and financial planning. Following the training, project plans were developed to align with individual activities and local market needs. The implementation phase includes continued individual and group guidance sessions, wherein consultants specializing in small projects and livelihoods provide support. These sessions focus on ensuring the optimal use of grants, financial management, and project sustainability.
This intervention aligns with a comprehensive vision aimed at promoting self-reliance and expanding self-employment opportunities, particularly for women. The project seeks to create a sustainable impact that improves living standards and builds the capacities of the local community in the medium to long term. This initiative fosters economic empowerment and significantly uplifts targeted households, enabling beneficiaries to develop sustainable businesses that contribute positively to their community.
YFCA remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote economic self-sufficiency and resilience among vulnerable populations. The cash grant distribution represents a significant step toward enhancing the economic well-being of the communities in Al-Dhalea District.
