The success and positive achievements carried out by the Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) continues in Partnership with its international and local partners, which serves the community in all its different categories and age range. These projects include the health service for refugees, which is implemented by YFCA and funded by UNHCR. The project operates in two health centers: Al-Hafi Center in Al-Huthaily area and Al-Rahbi Center in Al-Safiya area, Amanat Al- Asimah. YFCA took over the project in April 2017 to continue through December 2017.
 
The project provides comprehensive health services free of charge to refugees and migrants, including:
  • Examinations, testing and medication for cases suffering from chronic diseases and emergency cases, pregnant women and children under the age of five.
  • Referrals of cases which require surgical intervention are referred to the YFCA Safe Motherhood Specialized Hospital (SMSH), the AlJamhouri Hospital and AlSabeen Hospital. Surgeries are then conducted free of charge. YFCA sponsors all the expenses of operations conducted in the YFCA SMSH, while the UNHCR covers cost of the surgical operations in the other two public hospitals.
  • Referring cases suffering from Mental and Neurological diseases are referred to the Amal Hospital for free treatment (covering by the project).
  • Preparation of Reception Centers for the treatment of Cholera patience in both centers.
Review on both centers:

Al-Hafi Medical Center:
  • The center provides health services to refugees and immigrants, in addition to Yemeni citizens.
  • The Center receives about 100 refugee cases per week and nearly 200 cases of Yemenis
  • The Center covers the health and medical needs free of charge on a continuous basis for about 100 cases suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, stress and psychological and neurological diseases.
 
Al Rahbi Medical Center:
  • Receives approximately 300 to 400 refugee cases per week, and approximately 30 Yemeni Nationals cases.
  • Coverage of health and pharmaceutical needs free of charge and continuously for about 300 cases suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, stress and psychological and neurological diseases.
