Yemen Family Care Association provided the fourth round of the cash assistance to 250 households in three targeted districts of Shabwah Gov, (Jardan, Nisab & Bayhan districts) which met the criteria of Cash For Work activity. Each beneficiary household received an amount between 123,500 Yemeni Rials after participating in gabions and diversion retaining wall constructions. The Cash For Work activity is part of the ongoing project of WASH and humanitarian food assistance for IDPs, host communities, returnees, and marginalized groups in six districts of Shabwah Governorate-Yemen, funded by the German Humanitarian Assistance in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe. This activity aims to provide cash assistance to households in targeted communities to improve their access to food, promote early action and resilience, bridge the gap in food security, and ensure safe and dignified delivery of food assistance. It also includes Cash For Work interventions to help participants gain skills and potentially find employment after the activity ends.
