Within the General Food Assistant (GFA) project, YFCA in partnership with World Food Program (WFP), provided food assistance to the most food-insecure households. Targeted people are provided with in-kind rations of flour, rice, pulses, and oil. In March 2023, YFCA distributed food baskets to 25,118 households of nearly 175,826 people. The distribution took place in Taiz (Ash Shamayatayn, Maqbanah, Mashra'a Wa Hadnan, Saber Al Mawadem, and Al-Makha districts). Such assistance aims to contain and reduce the number of people at risk, preventing an increase in populations experiencing famine-like and emergency conditions.
