A 3-day training on Basic Life Support (BLS) was held in Al Azariq district of Al Dhale'e Governorate for 17 supported health workers in the Maternity and Childhood Health Center and Emergency Mobile Medical Team (EMMT). The training started on the 14th of February, 2023. It was primarily conducted to increase the awareness and knowledge of the targeted health workers on Basic Life Support and first aid in order to provide the best quality healthcare services. The trainees acquired new skills and experiences, which were demonstrated through the notable difference in the results scores between the pre-evaluation and post-evaluation; in addition to the fact that all of the trainees had passed the post-training appraisal. Moreover, the targeted health workers attended a 3-day training session on Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) on the 19th of February, which was conducted by a well-trained expert. This special training course aimed to enhance the practices of the assigned health workers in terms of infection prevention and applying the proper protective measures while providing healthcare services.
