YFCA Completes BSFP Training for Community Health Volunteers in Al Kuhlan Alsharaf District

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Health and Population and Hajjah Health Office in cooperation with World Food Program (WFP), YFCA recently completed a 3-day training in Al Kuhlan Alsharaf district for 67 Community Health Volunteers.
 
The training aimed to enhance the volunteers' ability in community management of acute malnutrition approach, Infant and Young Children Feeding (IYCF) counseling, and delivering messages for pregnant and lactating women.
 
This training was part of the "Promotion of Preventive and Lifsaving Nutrition Intervention" project, which is an ongoing project covering various places in Yemen. The project started the implementation of  Kuhlan Alsharaf district’s activities in April 2023, and YFCA is committed to supporting and empowering community health volunteers to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations, especially in areas affected by malnutrition and food insecurity.
