In May 2023, YFCA successfully provided food baskets to 3,886 households, reaching nearly 27,202 people in the At-Tawilah district of Al-Mahweet Governorate under the WFP's General Food Assistance (GFA) program. The targeted households were provided with in-kind rations of wheat flour, vegetable oil, and pulses to mitigate the risk of famine-like and emergency conditions. YFCA carried out the distribution of food as part of the GFA project for the third cycle in 2023.
 
Despite the challenges and difficulties faced, YFCA has remained steadfast in providing essential assistance to those in need and alleviating the suffering of millions of people affected by conflict and displacement in Yemen. This humanitarian effort, led by the WFP, is crucial in addressing the pressing needs of the most vulnerable populations in Yemen and preventing further deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the country.
