YFCA has constructed 38 emergency latrines, eight of which are specially designed for persons with disbilities in Aljabool Camp in Marib Governorate as part of the project "Provision of WASH and Shelter Life-saving Assistance," funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
The latrines were designed to meet IDPs' needs and improve sanitation conditions in the camp. These latrines were constructed using locally available materials and were designed to be accessible to people with disabilities.
Basheer Almuneef, the camp manager, stated that the latrines will provide IDPs and PWDs with the dignity and privacy they deserve while helping to prevent the spread of disease. "This project is a significant achievement and will positively impact the lives of the IDPs in the camp," he said.
The project is a testament to the partnership between the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and YFCA and their shared commitment to improving the lives of people in need. The construction of these latrines in Aljabool Camp will make a real difference in the IDPs' lives, ensuring their access to basic needs and facilities.
