YFCA and WFP provided food assistance to the most vulnerable households in At-Tawilah district of Al-Mahweet governorate as part of the GFA project. The aid, consisting of in-kind rations of wheat flour and pulses, was distributed to around 27,160 individuals from 3880 households.
The primary objective of this aid was to mitigate the risk faced by people and prevent an increase in the number of individuals experiencing famine-like and emergency conditions. By targeting the most vulnerable households, YFCA and WFP strive to make a significant impact on improving food security in the region.
This intervention is just one example of the ongoing efforts by YFCA and WFP to provide much-needed assistance to those in need. Through their partnership, they continue to work towards a future where no one goes hungry. By providing food aid to vulnerable households, they are helping to ensure that families have access to the necessities they need to survive.
