In a significant move towards global policy reform, the Cash Learning Partnership (CALP) network organized a virtual roundtable discussion on September 28th, 2023. This meeting was a follow-up to the commitments made during the High-Level meeting in June 2023. The primary objective was to provide a platform for   dialogue, aiming to identify priority policy areas and actionable steps for advancement in the MENA region.

YFCA  played a pivotal role in this meeting. YFCA facilitated two key topics: coordination and relationships with communities and government. Their facilitation was instrumental in driving the discussions and ensuring that all voices were heard.

The outcomes of these discussions, significantly shaped by YFCA’s facilitation, are expected to contribute significantly to a global policy endeavor that seeks to shift power and resources from international actors to local entities.

This initiative reinforces YFCA  collective commitment to cash-based assistance policies and marks a significant step towards empowering local entities in the MENA region.
