YFCA, funded by Muslim Aid and UMCOR, implemented the cash-for-work (CFW) activity as part of the project provision of humanitarian integrated WASH, and FSL assistance for the most acutely vulnerable IDPs and host communities including PWD in Huraidah and Rakhyah districts,Hadramaut Governorate. This initiative aimed to alleviate poverty and enhance the livelihoods of 110 vulnerable families who have been severely affected by displacement, with a particular focus on providing integrated support in food security, livelihoods, water, sanitation, and hygiene. Under the initiative, the 110 beneficiary families received the first round of cash transfers, with two more rounds to follow. These beneficiaries were engaged in a range of activities, including rehabilitating gabions and irrigation canals, paving roads, and renovating schools. The CFW activities have garnered significant praise from the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for the positive impact it has had on their lives. Through the program, participants have not only experienced an improvement in their living conditions but also gained valuable skills and crafts that enable them to pursue sustainable livelihoods and income-generating activities. Through this cash-for-work initiative, YFCA, MUAK, UNMCOR are making a tangible difference in the lives of families, empowering them to overcome adversity and build a brighter future.
