Monday, 08 January, 2024

In a significant move towards sustainable healthcare, YFCA, funded by Muslim Aid UK, equipped Amba’a Health Unit in Rakhiah district of Wadi Hadhramaut with a solar power system. This initiative is part of a broader project to provide lifesaving MSP healthcare services and promote personal hygiene activities among the most vulnerable people in Huraidah and Rakhyah districts of Hadramaut governorate. The solar energy system is seen as a solution to address the challenges faced by the facility, such as persistent power outages that have had a significant impact on the provision of essential healthcare services. By having a consistent energy source, the facility can ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for patients and safeguard the integrity of vaccines and medications that require specific temperature conditions. This activity underscores the importance of solar energy in promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the healthcare sector. By harnessing the sun's power, the project contributes to the preservation of the environment, reduces carbon emissions, and mitigates the adverse effects of climate change.
