YFCA and UNFPA Conduct Joint Visit to Al-Sabeen Hospital

YFCA had the honor to organize a joint visit with high officials from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), represented by Mrs. Enshrah Ahmed, the UNFPA Country Representative, along with Dr. Abusalam Al-Ahsab and Dr. Wagdi. The purpose of the visit was to assess the hospital’s operations and the quality of maternal and reproductive healthcare services provided. The delegation had the opportunity to tour various departments within the hospital, including the emergency obstetric units, the intensive care units, operating theaters, family planning services departments, pharmacies, and neonatal intensive care units. This comprehensive tour provided valuable insights into the hospital’s operations and highlighted areas of strength as well as opportunities for further development. During the visit, Mrs. Enshrah Ahmed expressed her deep admiration for the exceptional quality of services offered by the Al-Sabeen Hospital. She highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between UNFPA, YFCA, and the hospital to enhance maternal and newborn healthcare services. Mrs. Ahmed also underscored the significance of ongoing support for the Al-Sabeen Hospital through YFCA, emphasizing the shared commitment to improving healthcare standards. The visit to the Al-Sabeen Hospital serves as a testament to the ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services in Yemen, particularly in the critical areas of maternal and newborn care.
