Taiz– YFCA conducted a comprehensive five-day refresher training on Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) for 40 health workers. This initiative, held under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Health and Population and Taiz Health Office, was conducted as part of the the “Promotion of Preventive and Lifesaving Nutrition Intervention” project funded by the World Food Program (WFP).
The training aimed to bolster the health workers’ expertise in critical areas such as the Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) approach and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counseling. These skills are essential for addressing malnutrition and improving child health outcomes in the region.
This training seeks to enhance the capacity of health workers to deliver effective nutrition services. By equipping health workers with updated knowledge and skills, YFCA aims to improve the overall health and well-being of communities in Yemen.
The successful completion of this training underscores the ongoing commitment of YFCA, the Ministry of Public Health and Population, the Taiz Health Office, and WFP to combat malnutrition and promote better health practices across Yemen.
