Dhale’e, Shabwah– YFCA, with funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), successfully distributed cash assistance to beneficiaries in Al Dhale’e City and Al Shuaib District of Al Dhale’e Governorate, as well as in Shabwah, Bayhan, and Mayfa’a.
This distribution marks the first cycle of the second year of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) activity, which is part of the project “Building Resilience through Integrated Community-based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY).” The BRIGHTLY project aims to enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities by providing essential financial support, thereby facilitating their recovery and improving their living conditions.
A total of 827 beneficiaries were reached during this distribution: 369 beneficiaries in Shabwah, Bayhan, and Mayfa’a, and 458 beneficiaries in Al Dhale’e City and Al Shuaib District, Al Dhale’e Governorate.
The cash assistance provided through this initiative is a crucial lifeline for many families, helping them to meet their basic needs and rebuild their lives amidst ongoing challenges. YFCA’s efforts, supported by the FCDO, are a testament to the power of collaborative humanitarian work in fostering community resilience and sustainable development in Yemen.
