YFCA conducted an intensive three-day training session targeting 34 health workers in various health facilities in Marib City and Marib Al Wadi. The training covered diarrhea centers, rehydration corners, and mobile clinics, focusing on managing cholera cases according to national guidelines.
This training is part of the project "Provision of essential trauma lifesaving health care services within the MSP package to the most vulnerable population of IDPs and host community and responding to cholera outbreak at Marib City and Marib Al Wadi districts of Marib governorate."
The training aimed to enhance the knowledge of health workers by increasing their awareness of cholera management and the latest national guidelines. It also sought to develop their skills by training them in early diagnosis techniques and effective handling of cholera cases. Additionally, the training aimed to improve the response capabilities of health teams, enabling them to quickly address cholera cases and curb the spread of the disease.
Furthermore, the training facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experiences among health workers from different facilities, ensuring the correct and effective implementation of national guidelines in the field. It also aimed to empower health workers to provide community awareness on cholera prevention and management, ultimately contributing to better public health outcomes and reducing the spread of the disease.
