YFCA distributed essential hygiene kits to 620 households in Marib City and Khab Wa Ash Sha'f districts. This initiative is part of the "Provision of essential life-saving and life-sustaining multisectoral support to the most vulnerable communities," funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
The distribution was made possible through collaboration with the WASH cluster, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the Executive Unit of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Ma'rib and Al-Jawf Governorates. Beneficiaries were selected based on World Health Organization criteria, with support from local public health offices and trained community volunteers.
Each household received two types of hygiene kits. The basic kit included laundry detergent, hand soap, sanitary pads, a plastic bucket, a washing basin, and water containers. The consumable kit contained additional laundry detergent, soap, water containers, sanitary pads, a bag, and chlorine tablets.
YFCA representatives emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance public health among internally displaced persons (IDPs). Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting its importance in their daily lives.
As Yemen faces ongoing humanitarian challenges, YFCA and its partners remain committed to improving the quality of life for vulnerable communities, ensuring access to essential resources.
