YFCA executed the third round of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) activity as part of Building Resilience through integrated community-based and humanitarian systems transformation and leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY) project in Alldhale Governorate from October 20 to 23, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance the resilience of vulnerable households and meet their basic needs amidst growing economic and humanitarian challenges.
During this distribution, 280 heads of vulnerable households benefitted from direct cash support, which alleviates their suffering and improves their living standards.
The UCT activity aligns with BRIGHTLY’s broader objective to empower communities through three main pillars: providing direct assistance to affected families via cash support and grants, engaging local communities in decision-making to ensure sustainability, and improving the effectiveness of humanitarian aid systems.
Additionally, this round of assistance has stimulated local economic activity by enabling families to purchase their needs from nearby markets, thereby enhancing the economic cycle within the community for the benefit of all. Special attention was given to women, girls, persons with disabilities, and the most vulnerable groups to ensure that support reaches those in greatest need, consistent with YFCA’s principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity.
This initiative reflects YFCA and its humanitarian partners' commitment to continuing efforts to enhance food security and improve livelihoods in affected communities, contributing to building more sustainable capacities and providing beneficiaries with a genuine opportunity to regain self-reliance amidst ongoing crises in Yemen.
